Joe’s Garage started out in downtown Queenstown, New Zealand located in the old Post Office sorting room come “Garage” in 2000. Situated in New Zealand’s premier alpine resort on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and surrounded by the majestic Southern Alps, Joe’s Garage’s mission is simple; a place that “everybody” can go to and have fun.

The Joe’s menu has been designed around the GO FAST philosophy of serving a great tasting meal without the wait, it includes simple kiwi classics and has something to cater to all tastes and needs. With exceptional coffee and “quick, clean & tasty” food, Joe’s Garage became an overnight hit with locals, and succeeded in winning the New Zealand Café of the Year in 2003.
The second Joe’s Garage opened in Arrowtown in 2004. With a third Joe’s in Hereford Street Christchurch, in a contemporary urban setting, where they are committed to the same simple fun things that make Joe’s what it is and what it stands for, the Joe’s story has begun. With less than a year of trading Joe’s Garage, Christchurch, recently won the Café Magazine award for Best Café in Canterbury 2008 and Runner-up Best Café in New Zealand 2008.
